Living yoga, one day at a time
Rachelle Balagtas (she/they) is a trauma-informed, accessible yoga teacher with over 13 years of personal practice. Their classes are inspired by the Hatha yoga tradition, with emphasis on moving slowly and mindfully while holding asanas (postures or poses) for longer. She offers variations and adjustments so you can discover what serves you best, while weaving in guided meditation and pranayama (breathwork).
Her approach challenges the fast-paced routines of our hustling and bustling culture, with the goal of finding relief from anxiety and stress. She builds spaces where your value isn't measured by how much you do, and exploring curiosity matters just as much as perfecting a pose. Her core belief: healing begins when you take back rest, choice, and connection.
Rachelle is a graduate of the Ignite Institute for Yogic Leadership and Social Change. Their yoga lineage is shaped by the teachings of Susanna Barkataki; mentors Linda Lopes, M Camellia, and Sunaina Madhav Dasi; Zabie Yamasaki; and Jivana Heyman.
